David Bowie - Fame
This is a live performance filmed by the BBC in 2000 of David Bowie performing the song "Fame" live.
The song was first released in 1975, and when it was released as a single it reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was written by David Bowie, John Lennon, and Carlos Alomar. Alomar came up with the guitar riff, Bowie wrote the lyrics, and Lennon came up with the title, he didn't have that much to do with the writing of this number, but still got a writing credit.
It's a great song with a really good groove, I really digg it.
Enjoy ; )

AC/DC - Stiff Upper Lip
This is a live performance by Australian rock band AC/DC playing the song "Stiff Upper Lip" live in concert.
The song appears on the band's 2000 album "Stiff Upper Lip" so it's the title track from that album. It was composed by Malcolm and Angus Young and was the first single from the album.
I really love the riff in this song. It's so simple, but so good at the same time. A truly magnificent riff composed by the Young brothers. Good old school rock 'n' roll, simple as that and it rocks!
Enjoy ; )

Isaac Hayes - Theme from Shaft
This is a live performance from 1973 of Isaac Hayes performing the Theme from Shaft. The song was originally recorded in 1971 as the theme for the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film "Shaft". The song was shortened from the version in the film and was released as a single. It reached no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in America. The following year the song won an Oscar for the best original song. This also made Hayes the first Afro-American to win an Academy Award in a non-acting category.
The song has been featured in many TV-shows and films since and was also re-recorded for the 2000 remake of the film, it wasn't changed, just re-recorded.
It's a very traditional and good funk song. It has a lot of wah-wah on the guitar and I think it sounds amazing, and Hayes has a voice unlike anyone. It's so low-registered, and I love it. It's a great song, but also a historic song in recent Afro-American historic events. A great song.
Enjoy ; )
