ZZ Top - "She's Just Killing Me" & "Vincent Price Blues"

This is a live performance by Texan blues rock band ZZ top. They play the songs "She's Just Killing Me" and "Vincent Price Blues" live. The performance is from a French TV-show from 1996.
Both of the songs that they play are from the band's 12th studio album "Rhythmeen" released in 1996. "She's Just Killing Me" is an up tempo rock 'n' roll bluesy song and it also appeared on the soundtrack to the Robert Rodriguez film "From Dusk till Dawn" which primarily consisted of Texas blues artists such as Stevie Ray Vaugha, Jimmie Vaughan, and ZZ Top, of course.
"Vincent Price Blues" is much slower and a nice change of paste in the mini performance ZZ Top delivers.
Both songs were written by: Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard.
Both songs are good songs, and performed like only ZZ Top can!

Johnny Copeland - Flying High

This is an acoustic live performance by Texas blues artist Johnny Copeland. He plays the song "Flying High" on a TV-recording (from 1989). It's a self-accompanied acoustic performance, it always fascinated me when artists did self-accompanied performances. The song it self I haven't been able to find any information on. I checked all of Copeland's tracks on Amazon and it looks like this one never made it on to any of his studio, compilation or live albums that they distribute at least.
It's a traditional blues in E though. He keeps it simple, but very effective. The rhythm and timing is spot on and the aggressive approach of using a pick to really make it loud really sounds great.
It's a great performance by a great blues man!

Johnny Copeland & Johnnie Johnson - Down Home Blues

This is a performance from New York in 1991, it features Texas blues man Johnny Copeland and piano player Johnnie Johnson who is most famous for playing with rock 'n' roll legend Chuck Berry.
Copeland isn't the most famous blues artist and he's probably most famous for playing with Stevie Ray Vaughan on several songs at Vaughan's 1985 Montreux concert.
The song "Down Home Blues" was originally recorded by blues artist Z.Z. Hill. Z.Z. isn't the most famous blues artist, but Down Home Blues has become quite a classic song and is probably his most famous song.
The song has also been covered by Etta James and many other artists.

Freddie King - Goin' Down

This is a clip of blues legend Freddie King performing Goin' Down live. Freddie is one of the '3 Kings of blues'. The three kings of blues are Albert, B.B. and Freddie King, all named 'King' as their last name. Freddie being inspired by both the raw Texas blues and the West side Chicago blues fused them into his recognizable tone and sound. Freddie has influenced a lot of players; Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Vaughan, Eric Clapton and Peter Green are all inspired by Freddie.
The song 'Goin' Down' has been covered on  occasion by artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan , Keith Richards and the G3 guys, but it isn't Freddie's most covered song.
