Guns N' Roses - Pretty Tied Up
This is a live performance by American hard rock band Guns N' Roses playing their song "Pretty Tied Up" live. The performance is from their 1992 gig in Tokyo, also released on DVD.
The song originally appeared on the band's 1991 album "Use Your Illusions II". The song is subtitled "The Perils of Rock n Roll Decadence". The song was written by Izzy Stradlin and the lyrics may have been inspired by Stradlin's encounter with a female dominatrix and her client.
Another live version of this track is available on the band's live album "Live Era: '87-'93".
It's a great rock 'n' roll song. I love that wah wah Slash uses and the rock 'n' roll piano played by Dizzy Reed you can hear in the background.
A great performance.
Enjoy ; )

B.B. King – You Done Lost Your Good Thing Now
This is a live performance by blues legend B.B. King playing his version of the song “You Done Lost Your Good Thing Now”.
The song was released by King as a single in 1960. And the song is credited to King and Joe Josea. King has stated in later interviews that he wrote all of the songs that had the second name added to them. He stated that it was the record company’s way of getting the rights to half of the song thus taking royalties from the artists.
It is a very well renowned song and it appeared on King’s famous live album “Live at the Regal” which is considered one of the most influential live blues albums of all time. And artists such as Eric Clapton and John Mayer have admitted to using the album as a primer before their own performances.
The song has also been done by artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. I really love SRV’s version of this song, it’s longer, but still sticks close to the original by King. Click here for a link of this awesome performance.
But this is a great performance by the King, and he always does a good job on stage.
Enjoy ;-)

AC/DC – Whole Lotta Rosie
This is a live performance by Australian hard rock/ rock ‘n’ roll band AC/DC performing their classic song “Whole Lotta Rosie”. The performance is from 1977.
The song originally appeared on the band’s fourth Australian release “Let There Be Rock” released in Australia in 1977.
The song was written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young and Bon Scott. The lyrics are about Bon Scott’s on experience with a heavy set woman. This woman has never been identified though.
The song has become very popular and the band often plays it live. It has also appeared on every official live album released by the band. Also in versions sung by Brain Johnson. When they play the song live today it is usually accompanied by a huge blowup version of Rosie as a stage effect.
The song is very popular and has been played live by a lot of bands, bands like: Anthrax, Airborne and Guns N’ Roses.
It’s a great song and a really good performance by the guys.
Enjoy ;-)

Rory Gallagher - Shinkicker
This is a live performance by blues legend, sadly not so well known legend, Rory Gallagher. He performs the song "Shinkicker" which is an original rock 'n' roll song by Gallagher.
I really think it's an excellent performance. I really love how much showmanship Gallagher uses. He does everything from running the edge of the stage and jumping around to get the crowd infused to holding his guitar in the position of a shotgun aiming.
Over all a great performance from a great blues man.
Enjoy ; )

Stevie Ray Vaughan - I'm Leaving You (Commit a Crime)
This is a performance by blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan. He performs the song "I'm Leaving You (Commit a Crime). A performance of this is featured on the classic live album "Live Alive" bye Stevie Ray Vaughan. It's a live record that boasts a lot of different types of material. Vaughan draws in all of his influences, performing rather contemporary tracks such as "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" by Hendrix and "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder, but also includes a lot of the old school blues feel.
This is one of those old school songs. The performance is simple, pretty much repeating the same little riff over the entire progression, and adding pauses where Stevie just gets to sing. It's really a performance that shows how good a singer Stevie truly is. He does a small guitar solo, but nothing fancy or flashy, and then ends it with a simple take on a turn around lick. It's just classic old school blues. This performance is inspired bye Howlin' Wolf, and Stevie definitely does him justice. It's just a great performance.
Enjoy ; )

Robert Cray - Chicken In The Kitchen
Robert Cray Band on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno from Vanguard Records on Vimeo.
This is a performance from famous singer, songwriter and blues guitarist Robert Cray. The performance is from "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" where Cray was promoting his album "Cookin' in Mobile" a live album featuring an audio CD and a performance DVD.
He performs the song "Chicken In The Kitchen" a nice up tempo bluesy tune with a nice groove and rhythm. It's a very nice performance, and Cray is, as always, playing at the top of his game. It's just a wonderful song and a great performance.
Enjoy ; )
